Maria's Mexican Restaurant: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Chicago, IL

As a native of a California this place is doing it!! First time trying this place out and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the spicy shrimp appetizer, the chicken wet burrito, the steak plate, and the combination plate + 3 top shelf mezcal margaritas. It was so delicious !!! Our server made the experience that much better. And I loved the ambiance! I definitely recommend if you're in the area check out this place!!

The guacamole was the best I have had. My daughter got the carne asada and she loved it. The jalapeño was so delicious and spicy. The steak was also solid. I got the spicy chicken Azteca and it was great, with some heat and great rice and beans. Great meal!

This place is lovely! Great atmosphere, golden margarita was good, our waitress Ariana was so amazing And the food is great! I had the Chicken Quesadillas and my husband had the steak tacos Would recommend! I will be coming back for sure!

Food is fresh and tasty, lightly seasoned Mexican food, I had the enchilada plate and tried all 3 (one each) ground beef, chicken and cheese. While eating cheese enchilada somehow a Bay leaf ended up in my mouth and luckily I knew to spit that out quick as it should have been removed by kitchen. I was assuming it was from sauza red sauce, manager said it is used in chicken but not where I found I was taking a bite of cheese enchilada. I was not inspecting for this so I tried chewing at first. My reason for mentioning is in case anyone takes a child here they should check for these to avoid choking.

This was my first visit in 15ish years. It's totally remodeled and the ambiance is great! Love the wall art and lighting. Service was quick (we had no lunch reservation) and our server was attentive and great. The mole is what we were craving! For appetizers we had chorizo quesadillas...so much flavor! Chips & Salsa was great. We loved the black bean soup and cheese enchiladas with mole.

Ever been to Maria's in Rosemont? Their Mexican cuisine is one of our top favorites:) we enjoy everything on the menu and we could eat a million of their chips with salsa! The service is sometimes a hit or miss depending on if it's busy or not I feel like they don't quite check up on you as often. The ambiance is pretty! Definitely a must to check out.

Very popular with locals, just under the radar of the Rosemont machine. Turns out the locals are a very cool bunch - a harmonious diverse crowd, packed to capacity on weekends. Music permeates overhead, or from the live troubadour. Thoughtful Mexican fare, but also specials that are sometimes American leaning. Service is friendly, they can get overrun with maximum capacity. This place is not understaffed. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get in, but the wait can grow longer. Free valet parking. Recommended.
